I met Sally in Tours, France at the language school in 1978 as well as Elaine (who has posted a message here). 


Sally was so lively and bubbly and whilst she took the course seriously, she enjoyed a good laugh. She had recently met Edwin at that time and spoke so fondly of him. 


We spent six weeks together entertaining ourselves in student accommodation and visiting the local area. We became firm friends in that time. 


Sally and I have kept in touch over all these years. I’ve loved receiving her letters. I always liked the stickers she put on the envelopes too! I’m very proud that we were friends for so many years. 


Sally was a very special person. She will be sorely missed by Edwin and by us all.
